Job Title: Lead Coach

Contract: September 2019 - May 2020, with option to renew annually.

The Edinburgh University Netball Club is seeking a netball coach to lead our coaching team. This role would involve coaching the universities highly competitive 1st and 2nd teams as a group, both of which are in the Scottish 1a division of BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport). We are looking for a qualified, knowledgeable and experienced coach who will be willing to work with the existing coaching team to develop the performance of the top teams in our club.
The role would require the successful candidate to coach the 1st and 2nd teams together for 2 hours 1 evening per week and would be expected to attend up to 10 matches between September 2019 and May 2020, taking place on Saturdays (subject to negotiation with the coaching team).
The Edinburgh University 1st team have been finalists in the Scottish Cup for the past two years and have consistently topped the Scottish 1a league since 2012, with the second team also consistently placing highly in this league. As we are the best University team in Scotland and the second-best team in Scotland overall, our aim is to get into the BUCS Premier League in 2020. This is a great opportunity to work with committed and talented players striving to achieve this goal. Candidates should be UKCC Level 2 qualified and have experience coaching competitive teams. This role would require the successful applicant to build a netball program to aid our top teams in achieving the next level of performance, supporting them to develop their skills and enhance their teamwork.
Edinburgh University Netball Club is run by a dedicated committee of 18 students who organise training, trips and social events throughout the year.
