Four positions available.
Reportable to: General Manager.
Contract type: Part-time contracted positions on 12.5 hours per week, with opportunities of overtime available, particularly during holiday camp periods.
Hours of work: This role requires flexibility to work as and when agreed, including daytimes, evenings and weekends.
Salary: £12 per hour.
Projected start date: Monday 1 April 2024.

Purpose of the job
Lead Community Coaches will be responsible for the fun, energetic and knowledgeable delivery of projects Dundee United Community Trust offers. Areas of delivery will include mainstream football, para-sports club, holiday camps and schools sessions.
Key tasks
- Planning and delivering high quality coaching sessions to those we engage.
- Create a safe, fun and positive environment that gives each individual the opportunity to love playing football.
- Complete accurate registers using our online registration platform.
- To conduct yourself as a role model for everyone you meet whilst representing Dundee United Community Trust.
- To raise the profile and importance of participation in sport by promoting the values, vision and objectives of Dundee United Community Trust.
- To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by relevant activities, facilities and/or equipment.
- To have knowledge of relevant policies and examples of best practice.
- To attend coach in-service days as required.
- To take responsibility for the care of all relevant training equipment and kit.
Essential criteria
- Experience of planning & leading football coaching sessions for children or adults.
- Completion of Level 1.3 in the Scottish FA's Children's Coaching Pathway.
- Ability to adapt delivery methods and content to suit participants based on their age and ability.
- Full driving licence and transport.
- Eagerness to learn and develop.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with people living with a disability in a sport or physical activity setting.
- Experience of leading or assisting coaching sessions of other sports.
- Completion of the Scottish FA's Coaching Para-Footballers.
- Obtained or working towards a qualification in sports coaching or in a similar field.
- A valid sports first aid qualification.
