Head of Physical Education and Sport: St Aloysius’ College

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the department of Physical Education and Sport in a School with a proud sporting tradition and a notable track record of success across a variety of sporting areas.

In addition to the general responsibilities of a teacher, the Head of Physical Education and Sport is responsible for the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum through the School and the programme of Extra-Curricular sport.

There is no preference as to the main sport a colleague may have to offer.

The initial phase of interviews will take place on Wednesday 30th October and will comprise a formal interview, an in tray exercise, an observed lesson, a tour of the College and engagement with students. The second phase will take place on Tuesday 5th November and will comprise a presentation, a further interview and a further task.

The Head Master would be very pleased to discuss the post and any other aspect of the College with potential applicants and can be contacted directly by email or on 07961 549923.

You should nominate two referees to support your application (please note referees will be asked to assess you against the person specification rather than being generic in nature).

St Aloysius’ College places safeguarding of its students as its highest priority and as such references will be taken up before the first round of interviews and the successful applicant will be subject to appropriate qualification checks and advanced PVG clearance. Appropriate safeguarding and safer recruitment questions will form part of the selection process.
