Scottish Gymnastics (SG) is on a journey to becoming a world class governing body for our members and partners and we are looking for like-minded people who will help us on the way. Through our 12-year strategy we have identified a need to focus on areas that will make a real difference. This new post will help us to deliver our ambitions, those of our members and member clubs.
We are looking for someone who can provide commercial direction and intelligence to shape and develop future growth opportunities. This role has overall responsibility for driving and delivering all aspects of SG’s financial and commercial activities to support the delivery of the overall strategy and is expected to provide analysis and implement recommendations based on these findings, focussed on delivering outcomes which best meet SG’s objectives and provide best value to our members and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will need to be hard working, motivated to be part of a fast paced area of the business, and come with experience of managing the accounting function including financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting as well as producing year end accounts.
The role requires candidates to be organised with a high attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data to inform decision making based on excellent commercial acumen, customer driven and be able to manage their workload, as well as lead and support the Finance team. The role requires candidates to be able to influence and develop strong, effective working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Candidates will require strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to work on their own initiative. Candidates will need sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, as well as accounting software.
