The Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils (SALSC) have two temporary vacancies on the Board of Directors, one for a Finance Director and the other for an Ordinary Director.
SALSC are looking to recruit enthusiastic and suitable individuals with relevant experience to fill these key roles within the Board.
The successful individuals will bring their finance and/or sporting knowledge and skills to the Board, gain experience of supporting and advising a small but dynamic Board and staff team and develop their personal experience in a voluntary capacity.
This is an exciting time for SALSC, moving in to a new four-year strategic period from April 2019 significant changes and opportunities to modernise the organisation overall are planned.
Approximately 5 hours per month. The post is non-remunerated, travel and meeting expenses will be reimbursed according to SALSC’s policies and procedures.
Terms and Conditions
Both Directors will be co-opted onto the Board until the Annual General Meeting in September 2019, where they may have the opportunity to be elected onto the Board of Directors.

SALSC will consider applications and invite selected applicants for an informal interview on a date to be mutually agreed.
Applicants should be a member of a Sports Council or a member of a club/organisation affiliated to a Sports Council but this is not a necessary requirement at this stage.
This vacancy is not open to anyone who has been or becomes:
* Disqualified from holding a Directorship in a Limited Company.
* Disqualified from being a Charity Trustee pursuant to section 69 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
* Suspended or removed as a Charity Trustee pursuant to section 34 of the same Act.
