Dumfries Saints RFC  Backs Coach

Dumfries Saints RFC are seeking a Backs Coach for the club 1st XV for the 2019/20 season, with a view to being in place for pre-season training commencing in June 2019.

Dumfries Saints, based in Dumfries, are aiming to build on recent success after finishing third in National Division 2 for the last two seasons and winning the National League Cup in 2018. We play an exciting and expansive style of rugby and are known for our attacking style. We have made some exciting additions to the squad for 19/20 season and are keen to improve our coaching team. The clubs 2nd XV are now well established in West Reserve League 1, with further players progressing from our U18s side into senior rugby next season. Training sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursday evenings in Dumfries, we train on a 3g surface in the winter months, with games on a Saturday.

The successful candidate should preferably be qualified to UKCC Level 2 or be willing to work towards this qualification. We would consider a player coach role for a suitable candidate.

The Backs Coach is expected to work with other Senior Coaches to plan training sessions and match day preparation. To assist with the 1st XV squad selection along with the other Senior Coaches. Be present at all training sessions and games throughout the season. In cases where one must be missed, arrangements must be made prior to the specific practice or game.

This is a paid position and travel expenses may be considered. This post is expected to be approximately 10 hours per week. Salary would be dependent on skills, experience and any element of subsidised travel costs.
