Community/Development Coach - Scotland Rugby League

Reports to:  National Development Officer

Contract type:  Variable Hours

Location:  We are looking to fill a number of posts across Scotland as we grow our development plan and structure.

It is an exciting time for Rugby League as we look to grow the sport across Scotland. Our development structure continues to grow and we have successfully qualified for the 2021 RL World Cup.

To support the development work, we are in a position to recruit a number of paid Community/Development coaches to work with our partner secondary schools across the country. 

We are currently looking to fill posts in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife and Falkirk however will consider applicants from other areas based on plans going forward.

Although not limited to, this may be a great opportunity for college or university students to gain more experience alongside there studies. While knowledge of rugby league isn’t essential the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate experience as follows, for more information please see attached job specification - 

  • Responsible for planning and delivering high quality curricular and extracurricular sessions.

Work on own initiative to promote rugby league and grow participation numbers within assigned area.

  • Work with development staff to plan and implement a strategic approach to delivery. 
  • Travel with school teams to regional and national events.
  • Complete monthly activity report.
