Community Sport Hub Officer: High Life Highland

High Life Highland are seeking a full-time (35 hours per week) Community Sport Hub Officer to join their Sports Team and to continue the development of Community Sport Hub projects in the North Highlands.

Through empowering community leaders, fostering collaboration and meeting community needs the Community Sport Hub Officer will play a significant role in making life better through sport and physical activity opportunities within the Highlands. 

The successful candidate will work with a range of local and national partners to support the development of community groups and sporting organisations to maximise participation, reduce barriers to participation and celebrate the power sport and physical activity has in developing people and communities. 

In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively candidates will be able to provide evidence of the following:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience
  • Clearly demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the aims of the Community Sport Hub Initiative.
  • Extensive experience of engaging with clubs, community groups, governing bodies, schools, communities and young people to develop plans based on community need.
  • Proven project management experience.

Salary: £37,146 - £40,258     

Hours: 35 hours per week
