Job Title: Climbing Activity Leader Department: The Academy Sports Centre
Reports to: Andy Utterson Location: The Academy Sports Centre

2. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The primary purpose of this role is to provide help with the provision of the climbing programme offered by the Edinburgh Academy Sports Centre which includes after school activities, weekend climbing parties, open evening climbing sessions as well as coaching courses for both adults and children. The successful applicant will also be trained on the sports centre’s booking system and aid the leisure team with customer service, centre bookings and cash handling.

This will be a full time position covering 40 hours per week. It is a one year fixed contract however if successful this will become a permanent position. This role will involve working Saturday or Sunday and at least one night per week.

  • Climbing Wall Leading Award - D

  • Excellent communication skills – E
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team – E
