Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: London based at British Paralympic Association (“BPA”) headquarters

Job Description:

The Operations Officer (Maternity Cover) is an integral member of the Operations team and will provide administrative and operational support to ensure the effective planning, organisation and delivery of the ParalympicsGB team’s involvement in the Summer Paralympic Games, Tokyo 2020. Specifically, the role will provide support across a range of operational areas including flights, logistics, rate card, procurement, kit, transport and accommodation.

At the end of the fixed term for the role of Operations Officer (Maternity Cover) it is expected there will be the opportunity for the individual post-holder to continue at the BPA within a specified Games-time role as part of the Operations team.

Due to the event-delivery nature of the organisation, all Games-time roles at the BPA will be discussed and determined specific to each Paralympic Games. However, the expectation in this case is that the role will focus on particular aspects of Games Operations and Planning such as flights, arrivals and departures, and ground transport.

As part of the recruitment process for Operations Officer (Maternity Cover) we will therefore be looking for candidates who are;

  • Available to remain at the BPA on a full-time, fixed term basis until the end of September 2020
  • Available to travel to the Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo in August/September 2020

If you are unable to meet these commitments or have any questions or concerns, please inform us when you submit your application.
