Job Purpose

Assist in the delivery and supervision of wet side and dry side leisure centre programmes, events and initiatives ensuring all activities meet the needs of service users and are delivered safely in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of East Ayrshire Leisure’s Business Plan and the Sport and Community Venues Team Plan.

Additional Information

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Leisure. Please note:- PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the effective delivery of frontline services ensuring the venue is resourced to deliver the agreed service and customer satisfaction levels as outlined within the Sport and Community Venue Team Plan. Co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the Leisure Centre employees, allocating and monitoring the work undertaken by Leisure Attendants and actively delivery of a range of exercise activities. Assist in the planning and co-ordination of centre activities ensuring that the timetabled activities are provided meet the needs of service users to the standards set by the Service and are delivered within agreed timescales. Undertake a range of administrative duties as required such as answering telephone calls, photocopying, mail, fax, filing, call-handling, word processing and other related tasks are completed as required.
