Everyone will have access to a network of quality places where they can get involved in sport

National Centres

sportscotland's National Centres at Inverclyde, Cumbrae and Glenmore Lodge provide an ideal training ground for people in sport involved at every level, whether their priority is participation or progression.

While the primary role is to develop the skills of instructors, coaches, leaders and national squads, the centres have strong links with their local communities and offer a range of courses for individuals, clubs and schools.

sportscotland works with partners to provide highly specialised expertise on the planning, design, construction and management of sporting facilities for the benefit of Scottish sport.

We invest both National Lottery and Scottish Government funding in projects that encourage participation and progression at all levels from schools and communities to performance sport.

Our main funding streams are the Sport Facilities Fund and Awards For All
